Road to the Alphabetic Code: Teaching phonological, phonemic awareness and auditory processing skills to students with learning difficulties: Werribee only
Friday 05 Aug 2016
Becoming a competent reader, speller and writer relies heavily on our ability to recognise, process, distinguish and manipulate individual speech sounds, and groups of sounds, and to link those sounds to corresponding graphemes or letter combinations. For many students with learning difficulties, the ability to identify the sounds of speech is problematic. In this workshop we address how to teach and assess students phonological and phonemic awareness.
